Jiir was a male Human who joined the Rebel Alliance and was the older brother of Basso. They were both in the Ralltiir resistance, just prior to the Battle of Yavin. When Leia Organa was on a mercy mission on Ralltiir, the resistance created a diversion to let Basso get through the local stormtroopers, so he could inform Leia of the Imperial presence on Ralltiir. After creating a diversion, Jiir was shot and killed by a stormtrooper.
