Over the Pacific was a Tropical Wave monitored by NHC. The wave became a TD numbered Twelve. Twelve intensified to a TS by August 23 and a Hurricane on August 24. NHC predicted on August 24 at 1 p.m. PDT Jack would become a Cat.5 on August 28. It did but on August 26. Jack reached its peak intensity as a Category 5 hurricane on August 28. Jack weakened way back to a TS but hitted Odile's area. It reintensified over the Warm California Waters(Actually some hurricane-lovers dump hot water into the Pacific). Now a Category 5 with winds of 160 mph on August 30, Jack began to secondary peak. | | v
