Jayesh Parmar is the sister of Sangeeta Parmar and the ex-boyfriend of Rachel Hughes. When Rachel meets Jayesh in November 1992, she is immediately interested in him, and they begin a romantic relationship. In December 1992, whilst out with Sangeeta and Rachel, Jayesh and Sangeeta are verbally attacked by youths. The youths are kicked out of the shop by the man working. When returning home, Jayesh is attacked by the same youths. In August 1993, Jayesh's sister Sangeeta returns to Brighton, but Jayesh stays and continues his relationship with Rachel.
