The Destiny-class Carrier is a refit of the Venator-class Star Destroyer Mark I following in the footsteps of the Sage's Destiny. The vessels were created using Clone Wars era ships and modernize them. The power and shield generators were modernized and reduced in size, in addition the ship was given a higher level of automation reducing the need for crew and adding more space for troops. Extra weapons were added to the vessels giving it a much needed upgrade in firepower. The most distinct modification however was the removal of the second bridge tower and a streamlined rear. The vessel still cost a fair amount of credits to purchase but provided for extreme profits for Kuat Drive Yards who were able to sell the vessel at a cheap price undercutting other competitors.
