DCUs have been employed on many occasions by Stargate Command, as arid planets are common destinations in the Milky Way's Stargate network. A large supply of desert uniforms were part of the Destiny expedition supplies. They are often used by the civilian personnel when travelling offworld, regardless of the conditions.
