Unlike in other games, where Flan are resistant to physical attacks, in this game they are not and they can be defeated easily with normal blows. If a Flan appears by itself, it splits into two when defeated, and then three once those two Flan are defeated, making the formation really six Flan altogether. Flan in packs of four do not regenerate. Locke can steal rare magicite shards from them.
