Nostrene was a Tholian officer who commanded an experimental starship in 2376. Like many Tholians who harbored a hatred of Starfleet and the Federation and hope that his experimental vessel with enhanced warp drive capabilities would allow the Tholian Assembly to rival any other spacefaring race in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
