Shoyo Tabinin was a legendary Kami thousands of years ago. He was one of the Kami that founded the Soul Society, and has also said to have dated back far further than that, to the creation of the universe. For his entire life he was said to be unbeatable, as in no soul outside or inside of Nirvana could defeat him, and very few could harm him in general; this ended, however, when he was taken out in combat by the Arrancar Honoka, results that are shrouded in mystery to this very day. Shoyo was known as the greatest teacher, and has taken on countless desciples, many of which went on to make a name for themselves in the Soul Society as well.
