Root-demons (Q."Sulkharaukar" S."Sylchryg") were powerful spirits from the Pale appearing as a powerful skeletal forms twisted together out of tree roots.Their sole function in the world was to slay and they were primarily interested in killing.They fought more or less rationally, and would flee if hard pressed. After being disturbed from their places of rest they would try to defeat whoever freed them.Not needing to eat, sleep or breath, they buried themselves in rotting vegetation, stagnant quagmires, dung heaps, or latrines during the daylight hours.
