The Salmacis was one of the two modified Lockmart 'Starcub' Class Shuttlecraft used primarily as lifeboats aboard the USCSS Nostromo. The shuttle was either destroyed along with the Nostromo when Ellen Ripley activated the ship's self destruct system in 2122, or was not aboard the ship at the time.
