Susan was a clinic patient in the Season 2 episode The Mistake. She was portrayed by actress Licia L. Shearer. House was working clinic duty and was sick and tired of dealing with people who he knew were well off but went to the free clinic because they didn't have health insurance. Earlier, he had convinced a patient, Chuck, that he had a serious disease that required a lung transplant but he probably wouldn't be able to get it because once he was diagnosed, he couldn't get insurance. However, Chuck only had a cold. Seeing another patient in the same situation, he gave her the same story about a hypothetical patient named "Fusan" who was diagnosed with a deadly disease for which she needed health insurance.
