The 8th Shock Army was a Ta'har millitary unit. Before his ascension to Kar, Ta'harok was the commander (Legatoka) of it. When he became Kar, this unit gained the prestigious honour of being the Praetorian Guard, tasked with defending Ta'harok. Some were even inducted into Ta'harok's Privaeskota, (Private Escort), the most elite fighting unit in the Ta'har Navy.
