When Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary entered the Ring of Eternity to accept a challenge throughout the universe, fugitive Max Gamble followed them to escape the police. Instead of landing on Planet Granite like the others, Gamble arrived on the Wish World. He immediately set about building a world in his image, wishing into existence a old-style gangster town.
