The Battle over Coruscant was a battle that took place in 13 ABY during the Cartel Crisis between the Malfoy Cartel and the New Galactic Empire in Coruscant's outer orbit. The battle was a major victory for the Cartel, because of the capture of the Galactic Emperor and the death of one of the Empire's best commanders. The Emperor was somehow freed between this battle and the Defense of Bastion, because he was present on Bastion during the defense.
