Elway is the name of the basset hound that Patrick and Grace Winslow owned in the 2011 Smurfs movie. He originally perceived the Smurfs as a threat when they invaded the Winslows' apartment in order to rescue Clumsy Smurf. However, once the Smurfs were no longer seen as a threat, Elway became friends with them, even playing Guitar Hero with them by operating the kick pedal to the drums. Elway also appears briefly in The Smurfs 2 at the Winslows' apartment, wearing a party hat for Blue Winslow's fourth birthday. Elway is played by Hank, a basset hound owned by Bellingham Bassets.
