Mazeworld is a fantasy story created by Alan Grant and Arthur Ranson for sci-fi comic anthology 2000 AD. A hanged man 'wakes' in a world where both architecture and ethos are based in mazes. The hood he wears for his execution remains with him and he is used by both authorities and rebels as the awaited folk hero 'The Hooded Man'. He goes through a series of adventures involving treachery and magic. The strip ran in three parts: 'Hanged Man' (July - August 1998); 'Dark Man' (July–September 1999) and 'Hell Maze' (July–October 2000).
