James Landis was a Park Ranger who worked at Shenandoah National Park and who was later revealed to also be a serial killer responsible for the deaths of twenty-six victims, Landis having begun his killing spree in 2000. Like other serial killers, Landis blended perfectly into his environment, never once raising any suspicions. When he was eventually cornered, he attempted to kill Leroy Jethro Gibbs but eventually beat Gibbs before intending to flee to safety.
