Le-Laar Joom was a male Gran who worked as a talent scout for the company Industrial Heuristics, during the Republic Dark Age. In 1032 BBY, Joom and the Ishi Tib Eraffa traveled to the planet Darkknell, to recruit students to develop war sciences for Industrial Heuristics. The pair tested the proficiency of the Sullustan female Tan Tengo, and subsequently persuaded Tengo's grandfather, Gub Tengo, to allow the child to join Industrial Heuristics.
