Among the wielders of these weapons were the Witches of Dathomir and Gamorrean guards who used them against slaves or prisoners. A vibro-lance was used by Gamorrean Guard Thok in Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. Another lance was given to a spacer by the Dathomirian witch Vhaunda. Imperial Assassin Ennix Devian used a retractable vibro-lance during his fight with Kir Kanos.
