An English band popular in the late 1990's. Known for their hit "Bittersweet Symphony." (The song Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are commonly credited for the original writing of the song; however none of the original lyrics written by Jagger were retained.) Richard Ashcroft, the lead singer, later went on to a successful solo career after the band broke up.
