The USS Ambassador (NCC-10251) was and Ambassador Class starship built in the early 24th century. It was the prototype for the class and fielded several new technologies like phaser arrays, burst fire torpedo tubes, faster warp drive, superior sensors, and a greatly increased exploratory capacity. In 2332, it launched and began exploration of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.
