After the Fall of D'ni, Gehn attempted to revive the D'ni civilization and educated his subjects accordingly. On Riven, in an attempt to imitate the D'ni culture, and keeping with his preoccupation with number 5, he established five Rivenese Guilds. The Guilds were made in imitation of the D'ni Guild system (in a far smaller scale).
