The 1977 Old Dominion 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on September 25, 1977. Cale Yarborough won his ninth and final win of the year in dominating fashion. Leading 352 of the 500 laps, Yarborough was able to hold off Benny Parsons by eight-tenths of a second for the victory.
