A Submunition Missile is a Tau weapon system used by Stingray and Scorpionfish missile gunships, and is an enlargened and modified Seeker Missile that contains a number of Smart Missile submunitions built into its warhead. When a Submunition Missile detonates, these Smart Missiles scatter over a wide area and individually search for and home in on targets using basic Drone intelligences; causing precise destruction on a large scale.
