Valentinism is an unwanted conspiracy-like phenomenon that has begun to infest the Giovanni Clan. It has its roots in Valentina della Passaglia, a faithful Giovanni ghoul who died in the aftershocks of the Fourth Maelstrom by protecting her domitor. Not long afterwards, Valentina returned as a Wraith, warning the Giovanni against conducting the Ritual of the Endless Night, as their control over ghosts would immediately fade. Although this view is seen as defeatism at best and high treason followed by Final Death in normal cases, the message has arrived and more than one Giovanni fears deep within his heart that Valentina could have been right. Current Clan talks denounce her as demented through the shock of dying and many search for her restless remnants in order to bind and silence her.
