Jedi Trials were the events and tests that a Jedi Padawan had to go through at the end of their training in order to become a Jedi Knight. In the years prior to the Invasion of Utapau, Jedi Master Jard Dooku did not believe that his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, would pass the trials due to the Padawan's perceived arrogance, but Kenobi passed them anyway.
