Northwest Territories/Yukon/Nunavut Immense. That's the best description for the land area known as the Northwest Territories, full of tundra, animals, and cold, harsh weather. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't also so desolate. Human settlements are few and far between. Most are small Inuit families that live in small, comfortable communities. The one large settlement, Whitehorse, is still sparsely populated, and is little more than a glorified village. The one thing that has never been used to its full potential here are the shale oil fields beneath the ground, but technology has yet to find a cheap and effective way to remove it.
