Pit Tunnel is a room in Magmoor Caverns, in Metroid Prime. A fence separates the room into two sides to prevent passage until the Space Jump Boots are obtained; four Flame jets make jumping over it possibly harmful. Without the Space Jump Boots, the only way to get through the room to the Door on the other side is to enter Morph Ball form and roll under the metal grate that makes up the floor through a small gap. Triclops inside will try to grab Samus. If Samus is caught by one they will take her to the side of the room that she entered in and eject her from the grate, dealing a small amount of damage in the process.
