The Hachisennin was started by Sunagakure shinobi Teruo, many decades after discovering the Jikantsuchi was originally given to Amegakure as a peace offering by a legendary blacksmith. Wanting to see the exact capabilities of the weapon, as well as wanting it to be used as a symbol of power rather than displayed as one. He would go on to take the hammer for himself and flee Sunagakure, making him a Missing-nin. He would go on to hear stories of seven other similar hammers, made by the same man and given to the other villages as peace offerings. Deciding to take action, he would go on to make allies in these other villages, pursuing various shinobi to steal the weapons.
