Khalid Murat appears in The Bourne Legacy's prologue. He was a charismatic leader of Chechen rebels in Russia, who moved everywhere within a Russian Army BTR vehicle as disguise. Khan killed him by the order of Stepan Spalko. Spalko wanted to eliminate Murat, an old-fashioned soldier who opposed foreign intervention, to make Hasan Arsenov and Zina occupy his position. With this, Spalko hold Chechen rebels as pawns in his masterplan: Ambushed Reykjavik Convention.
