Aminata Savadogo, known professionally by her first name Aminata, is a Latvian singer-songwriter. She is of Latvian and Russian descent on her mother's side and her father is from Burkina Faso. Aminata has taken part in several televised talent shows in Latvia and has attempted to represent her country at Eurovision once before, finishing in 5th place in the 2014 national final. In 2015, she won the talent competition Supernova, earning her the right to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna with the song Love Injected. She qualified from the second semifinal in 2nd place and finished in 6th place in the final - Latvia's best finish since 2005.
