Amber Wing was a squadron of BTL Y-wing starfighters that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic on Vrogas Vas. During the Battle of Vrogas Vas, in which Darth Vader became stranded on the planet, Rebel commander Leia Organa ordered numerous Rebel forces to engage him. When Vader defeated the troops and approached Organa, she ordered Amber Wing to bombard her location in hopes of killing Vader. However, Amber Wing was unable to carry out her orders when they were attacked by a TIE fighter squadron under the command of Imperial commander Karbin.
