The Dark Knight (ダークナイト Dāku naito) is an unused class that was meant to appear in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. Originally intended to wield Lances as its sole weapon of choice, the Dark Knight class possesses unique, yet unfinished, map sprites and is represented by the Cavalier model in battles. The Dark Knight class is believed to be originally designed as a custom class for Camus, the leader of the Sable Order of Knights, who is commonly depicted outfitted in armour with an ebon colour scheme.
