Brand is the rune word 'JahLoMalGul' for missile weapons in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. A high-powered rune word, Brand grants large bonuses to damage (especially against demons), Deadly Strike, a guaranteed high-level Bone Spear per attack, and heal prevention. This rune word can cause quite a bit of damage, especially if an enemy is under the effects of the rune word's Amplify Damage curse. With the weapon's attribute of ignoring defense, attack rating becomes irrelevant, as the calculation to hit is based on the monster and player's level instead of attack rating vs defense rating.
