Siridar-Absentia is a title given to an individual who was given temporary governorship of a planet while it was undergoing a change of fief, during the days of the Imperium under House Corrino. A known siridar-absentia was Count Hasimir Fenring, who became siridar-absentia of Caladan after House Atreides was ordered to take over the fief of Arrakis in 10,191AG. Fenring relinquished the title after the Lady Jessica and Gurney Halleck returned to Caladan when her son wrested control of the Imperium from the Corrino's in 10,193. Fenring then accompanied his lifelong friend Shaddam Corrino IV into retirement on Salusa Secundus.
