Melak Sargon, nicknamed "Wampa" for his heartlessness and brutality, was a male Human who became an Imperial Navy pilot during the Galactic Civil War. A native of the military world of Carida, Sargon joined the Galactic Empire since his father was a veteran Republic officer of the Clone Wars. He raised his son by teaching him flying skills and military discipline early on. Sargon attended the academy on Corulag, and was noted for his piloting skills. For this, Sargon was eventually posted to Black Squadron, an elite starfighter squadron. His early years mostly involved fighting pirates, however, the outbreak of the war against the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Sargon took part in engagements against the Rebels. During these early skirmishes, he became an ace with 35 confirmed kills.
