Admiral James T. Kirk's attempt to get the USS Enterprise back runs afoul of Admiral Harry Morrow. Despite Kirk's plea, Morrow does not give him back Enterprise, and explicitly orders him not to return to the Genesis Planet, warning him, as a friend, to stop obsessing over this or it will ruin his career.
