Shōsuke is a minor character who only appears in episodes 94 and 95 of the anime. His parents and the other villagers were kidnapped by Orochidayū when they raided his village; Shōsuke was spared because he had been sent to the hen house as punishment before the attacks and not seen. Inuyasha and the others arrive five days later, and Shōsuke tells them what happened. He runs away, however, because he is scared of Kirara. Miroku convinces him to come back, saying they will help him find his parents. He is eventually saved by Inuyasha, who also rescues Shōsuke's parents and the other villagers.
