Baker previously worked as art director on the television drama When He's Not a Stranger (1989), the short film World Song (1992), and the romantic comedy The Lovemaster (1997). Other projects she worked in the art department for include the drama Heart of Dixie (1989, starring Virginia Madsen), the comedy California Casanova (1991), and Volker Schlöndorff's drama Homo Faber (1991). In addition, Baker worked as set decorator for the television movies Everybody's Baby: The Rescue of Jessica McClure (1989), Child of Darkness, Child of Light (1991), and Caught in the Act (1993).
