Angela Petrillo was described by mother-in-law Sophia Petrillo in the episode A Little Romance as a welder and a hard-drinking woman whose father had a fortune hidden away. However, in "Ebbtide's Revenge", Angela was portrayed as a cosmetic sales lady whose father could only pay $47 for the dowry to marry Phillip "Phil" Petrillo. Angela and Sophia did not have a good relationship, stemming from Sophia partially blaming Angela for letting Phil's cross-dressing go on during their marriage. They reconciled after Phil's funeral. Angela and Phil had ten children, six of them boys and four of them girls, one (Harvey Petrillo) of whom was supposed to graduate from Animal Grooming School, but flunked out.
