Tate and his twin sister, Liza, are the gym leaders of Mossdeep City. Their badge is the Mind Badge. They are considered the seventh gym of Hoenn. Tate and Liza are secretly guardians of Mt. Pyre; even the other gym leaders are unaware of this duty, though the Hoenn Director is aware.
