The Ssi-ruuvi Confederacy was a government formed on Lwhekk after the collapse of the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium during the Yuuzhan Vong War. In 29 ABY, after the Yuuzhan Vong were defeated, the star cluster where the Imperium was located was in ruin and chaos. Admiral Ivpikkis, an experienced Ssi-ruu officer who led the Free Ssi-ruuvi Legion, a unit of Ssi-ruuk volunteers in the New Republic Army, returned to the cluster and used his forces to bring relative stability. He formed the confederacy as an interim government. Initially, it was a military dictatorship, as he restored order to the former Imperium, under the red-scaled military caste. It then became a stratocracy; where military officials held government posts.
