The Eurasian Union, later known as the Nationalist Federation of Russia, was a nation in Eurasia. It was established in 2015 by Putin after the joining of Belarus and Kazakhstan into Russia. The Presidency was rotated between Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev until the Third Russian-Japanese War in 2042. After Russia's defeat in 2043 and the ceding of all of Sakhalin Oblast to Japan, the nation underwent more changes, becoming more authoritarian and expansionist. This quickly led to a Cold War with Japan, China, the European Union, and their Allies.
