The Ruins of Alterac are the ruins of the former Alterac City. They lie in the snowy mountains at the center of the Alterac Mountains. After the kingdom of Alterac was destroyed by the Alliance for their betrayal during the Second War, most of the population abandoned the ruins of their former homes. Now, Crushridge ogres have taken up the deserted ruins. Of the former capital city, only the mighty keep remains relatively intact. As of patch 2.3, all of the mobs here except Grel'borg the Miser have had their elite tag removed.
