The Sword-class Frigate is among the oldest designs in use by the Imperial Navy. It's armed with a Strenth 4 Laser based weapons battery which can engage targets in the Forward, Port, or Starboard firing arcs, and 2 defensive turrets. It's capable of maintaing an acceleration of 4.5 gravities and it's bulkheads and structure are reinforced since the vessel is designed to come under fire. The Sword-class frigate design served as the basis of the Firestorm-class frigates which were beginning to be deployed during the Gothic War.
