Krasnovsky was a 23rd century Human man who was a member of Starfleet. By the 2260s, he held the rank of captain and was a starship commanding officer, wearing a sciences division Starfleet uniform. In 2267, Krasnovsky's starship put in at Starbase 11 at the same time as the USS Enterprise. During the layover, Commodore Stone called on Krasnovsky, as a high-ranking officer, to serve on the board conducting the court martial of James T.
