Horning is a village in the northern Norfolk Broads, east of Wroxham and on the River Bure. It is home to Tom Dudgeon, Port and Starboard and the Death and Glories, who often moor on Horning Staithe. There are two boatbuilders’ yards, Jonnatt's and Hannam's down river from the staithe. There is an inn, the Swan Inn. A staithe in Norfolk is a place where boats moor to take in or discharge cargo: much what a quay is elsewhere (footnote in CC2). There is a map of Horning and surrounds in The Big Six (BS6).
