The Cape Cod Bluefins were a minor professional hockey team in the Federal Hockey League based in Cape Cod. Home games were played at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts. They began play on October 28, 2011, the Cape Cod Bluefins are a result of a market study conducted by the Federal Hockey League during the end of the 2010-2011 regular season when they relocated the Broome County Barons to Cape Cod. The Barons franchise was owned by the Commissioner of the FHL, Don Kirnan.
