In 1992, Mirage Studios pitched a cartoon series based on The Mighty Mutanimals to Ruby-Spears productions. A character/animation bible was produced, but the show never got off the ground. Krang was said to be the main villain and the Turtles would have made guest appearances. Ninjara was also added as a female member of the Mutanimals.
