Brurem was an Orion Colony in the late 22nd century It was also home to a pirate enclave. On reference stardate 1/1209.12 (circa 2186), the Thanatok, a Starfleet cruiser crewed entirely by Andorians with an overzealous captain, attacked and destroyed the enclave. A number of civilians were also killed.
